Banana fabric is a highly sustainable, eco-friendly textile derived from agricultural waste (the stems of banana plants), making it a renewable resource. Renowned for its silk-like texture and sheen, it is exceptionally durable—15x stronger than cotton and 10x more durable than linen—along with being lightweight, breathable, and moisture-wicking.

  • Material: It is soft, supple, and has a natural luster often compared to silk or cashmere, yet it is light enough for hot weather.
  • Manufacturing & Legal Information: It has a high tensile strength (529 to 914 MPa), which is stronger than jute or coir, making it suitable for long-lasting, heavy-duty applications.
